Hello, I'm Raquel

I’m a Registered Psychologist who brings warmth, gentleness, and curiosity to my work. I have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and am passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and identity exploration.

I have over three years’ experience as a School Psychologist in primary and high school settings, where I provided trauma-informed, evidence-based support to children and adolescents. I’ve worked collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to promote wellbeing and learning outcomes, and I’m committed to creating safe, affirming spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Areas of Expertise

  • Neuroaffirming Assessment and Therapy

  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals with respectful and strengths-based care.

  • Providing evidence-based therapy for individuals navigating eating challenges using CBT-E for Eating Disorders.

My Story

I hold a Master of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), both from the University of Wollongong. I aim to offer a space where all parts of your experience are seen, validated, and welcomed. I especially enjoy working with both young people and adults as they navigate life transitions, explore identity, and make meaning of their experiences.

I’m trained in CBT-E and draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic tools, and strengths-based frameworks. My practice is person-centred, neuro-affirming, queer-affirming, and trauma-informed. I’m currently undertaking further training through Eating Disorder Training Australia (EDTA).

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, coastal walks, dancing, crocheting, reading poetry, and spending time by the beach with my dog. I find inspiration in my cultural heritage and value creativity, connection, and ongoing learning.
