Hello, I'm Lenka
I’m a Registered Psychologist with a warm, collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy. I have extensive experience supporting adults and youth with:
-
Disordered eating, food, body image and weight concerns
-
Anxiety and panic
-
Depression
-
Stress and burnout
-
Trauma, grief and loss
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Co-dependency, low self-worth, perfectionism
-
Psychosomatic symptoms

I take a pluralistic and evidence-based approach, drawing on:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including ACT for ADHD
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including CBT-E for eating disorders
-
Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
-
Health at Every Size (HAES) approach
-
Trauma-informed perspectives
These approaches help clients explore their inner world, build emotional flexibility and live more in alignment with their values.
Therapy, to me, is about helping people reconnect with what truly matters and build a meaningful life, at times even in the presence of pain. It’s not about fixing someone or simply minimising symptoms. It is being able to provide a safe space for that person to slow down, learn new skills, gain insight and often transform in deep ways.

My Story
I hold a Master of Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of New South Wales, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Jansen Newman Institute.

Outside of work, I’ve been a student of yoga for over 30 years. The practice has taught me about presence, mindfulness and how to stay grounded through life’s challenges. I also volunteer at an aged care facility, where moments of connection, like sharing ice cream with residents, bring me great joy. Each year I take part in the Sydney Coastrek, a charity walk I’ve completed ten times with the same group of friends.

My favourite quote:
“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.” — Rainer Maria Rilke
