Hello, I'm Emma
I am a Provisional Psychologist with a strong interest in understanding people, including why we think, feel, and behave the way we do. Over time, this developed into a passion for supporting others through challenges and helping them make sense of their experiences.

Originally from Perth, I completed my Master of Professional Psychology at Curtin University, following a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology at the University of Western Australia.

I have experience working with both young people and adults across private practice, community, and multidisciplinary settings. This includes supporting young people at headspace, delivering evidence-based interventions in a work rehabilitation context, and working within private practice to support client engagement and care coordination. Through this, I have developed skills in assessment, case formulation, and supporting a range of presentations, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, and adjustment difficulties.

I work with young people and adults and aim to provide a neuroaffirming, inclusive, and respectful space where you feel safe, heard, and understood.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and client centred. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals, and pace. I take a strengths-based approach and draw on evidence-based frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

About me
I see therapy as a collaborative process where we can explore what is going on for you in a supportive and non judgemental space, while building insight, skills, and confidence over time.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, and it is completely normal to feel unsure. You do not need to have everything figured out. We can work through things together at your pace.

A quote I often come back to is, “You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the next step.”
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, and connecting with friends and family. I also enjoy cooking, art, and finding ways to unwind and recharge.
